S.C. Teachers Prepare to Perform Experiments in Zero Gravity
October 18, 2007 · Filed Under Schools In the News · Comment
Three teachers from Piedmont Elementary School (SC) designed science experiments with their classes and have been chosen by NASA to perform these experiments in zero gravity.
The teachers will board a jet in February and will experience about 32 steep climbs and sharp decents, which will give them the feeling of weightlessness for about 20 seconds. It is during this time that the teachers will perform their experiments.
The students are hard at work finalizing their experiments and taking guesses about the results.
